In India, Arbitration Law is governed by Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, which replaced the earlier Arbitration Act, 1940, in pursuance of the framing of UNCITRAL model law & rules on International Commercial Arbitration & Conciliation.
Under Arbitration process, parties to the contract, submit themselves to the Jurisdiction of a neutral arbitrator(s), appointed as per the procedure laid under the agreement, whose decision is final on the dispute.
