Sexual Harassment
Unfortunately Law of Sexual Harassment is yet uncodified in India. However, Supreme Court in case of Vishaka & Ors vs. State of Rajasthan & Ors. has prescribed exhaustive guidelines for protection of women against sexual harassment. The guidelines prescribed constitution of an in-house committee by employer for redressal of grievance of the victim. The committee, upon being satisfied that such sexual harassment has taken place must immediately take disciplinary action against the accused, including lodging of a criminal prosecution.
